Caresse now works for Jet2.com Airlines
Caresse Hurlstone's career is really taking off after landing a
plum job at Jet2.Com Airlines, after completing an air cabin crew
course at Doncaster College.
Now the sky's the limit for Caresse, 18, who will undertake five
weeks of training at Jet2's base at Leeds/Bradford Airport and then
move to East Midlands Airport ready to fly to destinations all over
Europe including Spain, Portugal and Greece.
Caresse completed her one-year City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma
in Air Cabin Crew recently and was full of praise for the
course.
"It gave me a great insight into what it would be like in
airlines and gave me a lot of confidence and know-how for my
interview," she enthused.
The course equips students with the necessary skills, knowledge
and understanding to progress into a career as cabin crew. There
are lots of practical activities involved from learning how to put
out a galley oven fire to practicing survival techniques in water!
The students also learn about the airline recruitment process which
involves completing job application forms, attending mock
interviews and giving presentations.
Janine Morris, course leader said, "I am very pleased for
Caresse and it is what she deserves. It has always been her
ambition to be cabin crew. She was always enthusiastic and
challenged herself to do well. Her hard work has paid off. I wish
her every success in the future and many happy and safe
landings!"
Doncaster College offers a wide variety of travel and tourism
courses, perfect to get students into employment with the industry.
