Suzannah has ambitions to become a solicitor
Sometimes to reach your objective you have to go back and try a
different route.
Suzannah Fairchild was honest with herself and quit a law degree
course because it wasn’t right for her.
She enrolled on a course at Doncaster College and
then landed herself a plum job at a prestigious, local law
firm.
"I want to be a Solicitor one day so this is the first step of
the legal ladder for me," Suzannah said.
"I loved it, it taught me lots of useful skills for the
future."
In 2010 she completed a very successful two-week placement at
HRS Law in Doncaster where she assisted a solicitor in the police
station and in the courtroom. She was then offered the position of
Legal Secretary and was able to take up that post when her course
finished in July.
Kendra Culley, Course Leader for ILEX Level 2 Administration and
Secretarial, said, "Suzannah has been an excellent student and came
to us in September with ambitions of gaining employment within the
legal sector.
"She has completed her placement with HSR Law and shown 100%
commitment to this.
"I am delighted that she has secured a position with this
prestigious local legal practice and it is well deserved. We wish
Suzannah every success for the future."
