Enrolment Procedure/What to Expect
To enrol on your course at Doncaster College, you will follow a
certain procedure. If you have already applied and had your Skills
Review, the first section applies to you. If you have not yet
applied, or have applied but not taken your Skills Review yet,
please read further down the page also.
Please Note: Skills reviews are being conducted on
a rolling basis but please be aware that during busy times there
may be a waiting period. Staff will be on hand to advise.
Academy Day
If you have already applied and had a Skills Review

Arrive at College and visit your Academy
Your welcome letter will tell you when to arrive at the College.
You will then be met by a member of staff and taken to your
Academy.

Complete pre-enrolment paperwork
In your Academy you will complete the pre-enrolment forms. Your
tutor will then add the course code, start and end dates and check
that you have met the entry criteria before signing the form.

Proof of qualifications/qualifications on
entry
We then need to take a copy of your GCSE results letter (or
certificates). Alternatively, a qualification on entry form may be
completed and left with our Academic Admins.

Payment of any course fees
We will then check to see if your course has any fees attached,
and if you are eligible for any benefits or fee remissions.

In the Events Hall
You will then be taken to the Events Hall where your forms and
any benefit evidence will be checked and your pre-enrolment form
will be updated as neccessary.

Print & sign forms and generate ID
cards
Still in the Events Hall, some final details will be taken and
your College ID card will be printed. This process should take
approx 5-10 minutes per learner.

If you have not yet applied for a course at Doncaster
College

Visit Doncaster College
On any of the days listed on the Enrolment Timetable page, visit Doncaster
College and find a member of staff.

Complete an application form
Fill in a Doncaster College application form for the course you
wish to enrol on.
|
| 3 |
Register on the day
Visit the Events Hall to register your application form.
|
| 4 |
Attend a Skills Review
You will then be asked to attend a Skills Review to find your
level of English and Maths. This can take up to 2 hours.

Interview with tutors
You will meet the tutor(s) who will teach you on your course and
have a short interview with them.
|

Attend Enrolment Day
You can now attend an Enrolment Day as described above.

Applied, but yet to complete Skills Review
If you have applied for a course at Doncaster College but not
yet undertaken a Skills Review

Visit Doncaster College
On any of the days listed on the Enrolment Timetable page, visit Doncaster
College and find a member of staff.

Visit the Events Hall
Visit the Events Hall to prepare for a Skills Review.
