- Students with no qualifications
|
- Initial Assessment in Numeracy and
Literacy.
|
 |
- Students with few or no
qualifications.
|
- Either 2 GCSE grades G and above and
Initial Assessment in Literacy and Numeracy
- Or Entry Level and Initial Assessment
in Literacy and Numeracy.

 |
- Students who have already achieved a Level 1 or students
wishing to specialise in a particular area of work
|
- Either Level 1 in a relevant subject and
Initial Assessment in Literacy
- Or 4 GCSEs grades D and above including
English. Maths and other relevant subjects may be specified
depending on course choice and Initial Assessment in Literacy and
Numeracy.
- Or Merit at Foundation Level and Initial
Assessment in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Or equivalent qualifications or relevant
industrial experience and Initial Assessment in Literacy and
Numeracy.

- Students with the appropriate GCSEs
|
- Either Level 2 qualification in a relevant
subject and Initial Assessment in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Or either 4-5 GCSEs A*-C including English.
Maths or other relevant subjects may be specified depending on
course choice and Initial Assessment in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Or GNVQ intermediate or first diploma at
merit and Initial Assessment in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Or equivalent qualifications or relevant
industrial experience and Initial Assessment in Literacy and
Numeracy.
