You are expected to be available to attend college Monday to
Thursday 9am to 5.30pm and Friday 9am to 4.30pm.
Course Description
For the Progression Diploma in Business, Administration and
Finance, you must achieve, a principal learning qualification made
up of ten business related units and an extended project
qualification.
To be awarded a Progression Diploma, you must have achieved
level 2 functional skills in English, ICT and Mathematics.
Course Structure
There are 10 core units which will be studied over the two year
course duration.

- Business Finance and Accounting
- Marketing and Sales in Business
- Customer Service in Business
- Teams and Communication in Business
- Responding to Change in Business
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Careers and Employment in Business
Course Assessment
Units are internally and externally assessed by means of a
coursework, assignments and written examinations. Each unit is
graded A*/A/B/C/D/E
You will be expected to undertake research and written
assignment work in your own time.
Course Entry Requirements
- 5 GCSE grades A*- C including English and Mathematics
- Gateway to Business Level 2

- All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Maths and
English and attend an interview
Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on
31 August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks,
personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be
informed of these at your interview.
Course Enrichment
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are
beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are
optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will
be provided at the time of interview.
