Attendance
You will be expected to attend sessions Mondays to Friday 9.00
am up to 5.00 pm most days and evenings for performance dates.
Course Description
This two year vocational course provides the opportunity to
study Dance and Performing Arts at National Diploma level.
The course will gives you the experience of different dance
forms and styles using a range of teaching methods such as
discussion, presentation work, demonstration and practical
work.

You will also study Functional skills which include Maths and
English.
Course Assessment
Students are assessed by a variety of methods including written
coursework, portfolios of evidence and practical assignments. The
assessments are to specific criteria and when successful is graded
Pass, Merit or Distinction
Course Entry Requirements
- 4 GCSEs grades A*-C including English
- First Diploma in Performing Arts Level 2 (Merit or above)
- You will also be expected to attend a workshop/audition at
which you will be expected to d a performance piece

- All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Maths and
English and attend an interview
- Adult learners with prior experience who can demonstrate a
capability to pursue the course successfully.
Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31
August 2010. However, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal
kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed
of these at your interview.
There will be a £ 50 studio fee for this course.
Course Enrichment
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are
beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are
optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will
be provided at the time of interview.
Course Progression
Many learners will progress to a University
degree level course such as BA (Hons) Dance Practice at University
Centre, Doncaster
