You are expected to be available to attend college Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm
This course is designed to develop a range of employability skills and techniques essential for success in the sport and leisure industry. Learners will be able to develop an understanding of the sport and leisure sector through specialised studies and practical application.

The course is assessed by means of 2 externally set projects and various internal assessment methods of performance observations, assignments, presentations, reports and projects.
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old on 31 August 2010; however, you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will be provided at the time of interview.

Job opportunities include sports and leisure assistant, pool lifeguard, sports coach, fitness instructor, outdoor pursuit’s instruction and physical education teacher.
