Air Cabin Crew Level 2 Diploma
Course Description
The qualification is aimed at learners who would like to develop
the skills, knowledge and understanding to progress in to a career
as Air Cabin Crew.
Course Structure
The qualification is made up of six core units:
- 201 Introduction to Airline Aviation Operations
- 202 Health, Safety and Security
- 203 Airline Emergency Procedures
- 204 Crew Room Duties
- 205 Role of Cabin Crew (on board)
- 206 Preparation for employment as Air Cabin Crew
The following units must be completed to achieve:
- Award: 201 and 202
- Certificate: 201, 202, 203 and 205
- Diploma: 201, 202, 203, 204, 205 and 206
Learners will also be required to complete one Functional
Skill
Additional language and Travel/Aviation qualification is
optional.
Course Assessment
Learners will be assessed through a variety of practical and
written assignments for each unit.
Entry Requirements
- Minimum age 17 years
- 4 GCSE grades D and above including English.
- City and Guilds Introductory Diploma Level 1 in Travel and
Tourism
- For equivalent qualifications see the Entry Requirements Explained page
- All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Maths and
English and attend an interview

Students may progress on to level 3 Aviation or Travel and
Tourism course
Course Career Prospects
The course is designed to provide potential Cabin Crew with the
underpinning knowledge required by the airline companies for entry
in to the profession.

Enrichment
Activities such as trips and visits will be arranged, which are
beneficial to this course and your learning. These activities are
optional and additional fees will be charged to you. Details will
be provided at the time of interview.
Visits will be arranged to Organisations, Regional Attractions,
Industry Events and Airports. There will also be a residential
visit arranged for which the maximum cost is expected to be
£350.
Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old. However,
you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips
and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your
interview.
All students will be required to wear an industry standard
uniform and purchase a neck scarf or tie priced at approximately
£10 and a Columbus Travel Atlas approximately £20.
