Beauty Therapy Level 3 Diploma

Course Description

This qualification aims to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out specialised beauty therapy treatments including micro-dermabrasion at Level 3.

You will be taught through a combination of classroom and salon activities such as practical demonstrations, ILT methods, tutorials and small group work.

Course Structure

You will cover the following units;

• Epilate the hair follicle using diathermy, galvanic.
• Provide head and body massage treatments.
• Improve the body condition using electrotherapy. 
• Improve face and skin condition using electrotherapy.
• Improve the appearance of the skin using micro-dermabrasion.

Course Assessment

Assessment will include practical observations, written questions, mandatory online tests and building a portfolio of evidence.

Entry Requirements

• Level 2 Beauty Therapy qualification
• For equivalent qualifications see the Entry Requirements Explained page
• All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Maths and English and attend an interview

Foundation Degree Beauty/Spa Management.

Course Career Prospects

This qualification will provide opportunities in careers such as self employment, teaching, assessing and managing beauty salons in many locations including locally, health farms, spa resorts and cruise liners.

Course Costs

There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old. However, you will have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.
