Course Description

This qualification aims to develop and build upon the technical skills and knowledge learnt in Level 2 to advanced level.

 

You will be taught through a combination of classroom and salon activities and will also work in the college’s commercial salon as a stylist developing the skills you will need in employment.

Course Structure

Units covered include:

  • Health & Safety
  • Advanced Services Consultation
  • Advanced Cutting
  • Advanced Styling
  • Advanced Colouring
  • Creative Hairdressing design skills
  • Advanced Perming
  • Colour correction

Course Assessment

Assessment will include practical observations, assignments or online tests and building a portfolio of evidence.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must already be qualified to Level 2 (including perming unit)
  • All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Maths and English and attend an interview
  • Take part in industry standard trade test

  • Barbering
  • Business Management Courses
  • Assessing or teaching qualifications,once the required industrial experience has been completed

Course Costs

There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old. However, you will need to pay for textbooks, personal kit, uniforms, trips and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your interview.
