Creative Media Production - Interactive Media Level 3
Course Description
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Media
Production (Interactive Media) is a one year top up programme.
Together with a previously achieved L3 diploma it is equivalent to
3 x A levels. Through the Extended Diploma, learners will develop a
greater sense of independence and creativity extending, refining
and developing their skills. It is also possible to complete the
BTEC Extended Project qualification during the year, which is the
equivalent of one AS level.
Course Structure
The course is made up of practical and theory
projects and workshops giving learners the opportunity to expand
their horizons within the field of Interactive Media. Assignments
on the course vary in timescale depending on the nature of the
project.
The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Interactive Media is an 18 unit
qualification (takes 2 years including the Diploma year of
study).
Course Assessment
The course is assessed through a variety of assignments, case
studies, presentations and projects. There are regular personal
tutorials to help develop your work.
You can also study Functional Skills which include Maths and
English.
Course Progression Routes
Previous National Diploma students have gone
on to study a variety of Interactive Media subjects at degree
level.
Course Career Prospects
Opportunities exist to enter the Creative Industries at a Junior
Level but further study would be recommended to achieve
employment in many job roles including web designer, 2D animator,
2D app developer.

Course Costs
There are no course fees if you are under 19 years old. However,
you may have to pay for textbooks, personal kits, uniforms, trips
and personal stationery. You will be informed of these at your
interview.
