CIMA Operational Level Accounting

 

Course Description

This course is ideal for those who have completed either the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting or AAT Level 4 (Technician/Diploma) and want to progress to the next level of studying. The specific papers which will be offered in September 2012 are yet to be confirmed.

Course Structure

The operational level of CIMA contains six papers and each individual student can determine the duration of their studies by choosing the number of modules they undertake at each exam sitting. The course can be studied either on day release (1 afternoon per week) or evening only (1 evening per week) should the student choose to take one subject at a time, or a combination of both afternoon and evening should the student wish to take two subjects at a time.

 

Assessment is by externally set paper based exams which are taken at the students preferred exam centre (subject to availability), details of which can be found on CIMA’s web-site www.cimaglobal.com. Please check the details of the centres available prior to starting the course.

Entry Requirements

CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting or AAT Level 4 (Technician/Diploma).

 

Students are responsible for their own membership of CIMA and applying for exemptions where applicable. These should be in place prior to starting the course.

This qualification will help you to gain employment in an accounting/finance role and is the first step towards becoming an Accounting Technician.
