Course Description
This course is for Employees in payroll without the formal
qualifications to evidence experience and for people wanting to
work in a Payroll environment. This course will allow Employers to
train their workforce to become better equipped in payroll
management.
Course Structure
An introduction to the payroll structure, with:
- Simple gross pay calculations
- Adjustments for basic statutory deductions
- Completion and maintenance of key documents and records
- Understanding of basic methods of payments
Entry Requirements
A good level of English and Mathematics and an interest in
Payroll.
Course Progression Routes
- IAB Level 2 Certificate in Payroll
- IAB Level 2 Award in Practical Payroll
- IAB Level 3 Certificate in Payroll
- AAT Level 2 Certificate in Accounting
Course Career Prospects
Payroll/Accounts/Finance clerk or after further progression
there may be job opportunities to become an accounting
technician.
