Basic Skills - Maths (Adult Numeracy)

Course Description

Classes are offered at different levels from Entry Level 1 through to Level 2.

 

Our friendly classes are available in the morning, afternoon or evening and you may be able to join at different times throughout the year.

Course Structure

All classes cover the following areas:

  • Number
  • Measure, Shape and Space
  • Handling Data

 

Examinations:

Entry level 1 to 3 learners will undertake an assessment with their tutor at the end of their programme.

 

Levels 1 and 2 learners will have the choice of sitting a multiple choice 1 hour 15 minutes on-line or paper based test.

Entry Requirements

No previous qualifications are required. All learners will undertake an initial and diagnostic assessment to find their current level of skill. Staff will then recommend a suitable class.

Course Progression Routes

Learners can progress through the levels listed below gaining nationally recognised qualification up to Level 2.

  • Entry level 1
  • Entry level 2
  • Entry level 3
  • Level 1
  • Level 2
