CAA Diploma in Excavation and Reinstatement of the Highways Level 2
Course Description
This award is aimed at people new to the Highway Maintenance
Industry and is a Level 2 Diploma in Highway Maintenance.
Course Structure
The course is made up of 4 units:- Health and Safety, Building
Technologies, Excavation of the Highways, Reinstatement of the
Highways. There is also an optional traffic Management unit
Employed learners will undertake the QCF level 2 in Highway
Maintenance.
All learners will be given the opportunity to undertake a CSCS
Card application and Test.
Entry Requirements
- Ground works level 1 qualification
- 4 GCSEs grades E and above
- All applicants must complete an initial assessment in Maths and
English and attend an individual interview
Course Progression Routes
This course can lead to applicants taking their QCF level 3 Site
Supervision and QCF level 6 Site Management in Highway
Maintenance.
Course Career Prospects
Working for either private Highway Maintenance companies or the
Local Authorities Highway Departments.
