Course Description
The new Certificate/Diploma in Access to Building Services
Engineering is for people thinking about a career as an Electrician
or Plumber or Working in the field of Heating and Ventilation.
This course can give you an insight into our industry as well as
a valuable qualification recognised nationally. It will be
available as a 1 day per week course for one year. You will take
online multiple choice exams to achieve your qualification.
Course Structure
- Unit 1. Level 1 Understand and demonstrate fundamental safe
working practices in building services engineering
- Unit 2. Level 1 Understand fundamental environmental protection
measures in building services engineering
- Unit 3. Level 1 Understand fundamental scientific principles
within building services and engineering.
- Unit 4. Level 1 Introduction to building services
engineering
Entry Requirements
A minimum of grade D in English and Maths is required for the
course
Course Progression Routes
Electrical Apprenticeship with new City & Guilds diploma
2357 or Plumbing Apprenticeship with new City & Guilds
diploma.
Course Career Prospects
A career in electrical installation, plumbing or heating and
ventilation including new technologies.
