EAL Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology Level 2
Course Description
The new level 2 Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering
Technology is for people thinking about a career as an Electrician
or Electrical Engineer.
This course can give you training for the industry as well as a
valuable nationally recognised qualification. It will be available
as a 1 day per week course for one year. You will take online
multiple choice exams, internally marked assessments and
assignments to achieve your qualification
Course Structure
Unit 1 Engineering Environment awareness
Unit 2 Engineering techniques
Unit 3 Engineering principles
and
Unit 4 Electrical and Electronic principles
Unit 23 Electrical installation methods, wiring and circuit
protection
Unit 24 Basic electrical circuit inspection, testing and fault
diagnosis
Entry Requirements
Grades A – C in Maths, English & Science is preferable, with
a desire to get into electrical installation or electrical
engineering.
Course Progression Routes
Electrical Apprenticeship with level 3 diploma or Electrical
Engineering or Building Services Qualifications to HNC and
above.
Course Career Prospects
This qualification can lead to a career as an Electrician and/or
Electrical Engineer.
