Course Description

An excellent introductory course for anyone wishing to pursue a career in Beauty Therapy or make up.

Course Structure

You will cover the following units:

  • Make up application techniques - such as day, evening & special occasion looks
  • Eye treatments – to include eye brow shaping, eyelash & eyebrow tinting, how to apply false lashes
  • Working in the beauty industry – this unit will give you an insight into the world of beauty therapy and the wide range of career pathways available to you
  • Health & Safety
  • Communicating with clients

 

The course will be assessed by tutor observation of you carrying out the practical treatments and by completion of multiple choice online tests.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this course however students must be of smart appearance and show an interest in the beauty or make up industry.

Course Progression Routes

This course is an excellent feeder for the City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy or City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Hair & Media Make Up
