Course Description

Pro Tools 210M: Music Production Techniques covers techniques for working with Pro Tools systems in a professional music production environment. Concepts and skills learned in 101, 110, and 201 are reinforced with practical music-specific examples. Upon successful completion of the Digidesign Pro Tools courses, you will get:

Course Structure

  • Preparing a session
  • Tracking and overdubbing – Use of QuickPunch™
  • Virtual instruments
  • MIDI composition
  • Professional editing techniques
  • Sampling in Pro Tools — Using software samplers
  • Arranging and producing
  • Mixing and automation in music production
  • Synchronizing with an external recorder
  • Mixing and DSP usage — Using sends, inserts, mix buses, and groups for music applications
  • Synchronization basics for music applications
  • Using a Digidesign worksurface in music production

The course duration is 3 days full time.

The course is assessed by exam.

 

Course Entry Requirements

  • Pro Tools 101: Introduction to Pro Tools
  • Pro Tools 110: Essentials of Pro Tools
  • Pro Tools 201: Pro Tools Production Essentials
  • Access to certification exams are only when previous exams have been passed.

 

Please note that all courses are subject to a minimum number of students enrolling. Course dates will be scheduled when a minimum number of students have registered their interest.
