Undergraduate Entry Requirements
At University Centre Doncaster we aim to provide fair and equal
access to anyone who has the potential to benefit from studying
with us. You will need to satisfy our minimum entry requirements in
addition to any specific requirements of your course. The
qualifications we accept include:
- HND (Higher National Diploma) and HNC (Higher National
Certificate)
- FdA or FdSc (Foundation Degree)
- Diploma in Foundation Studies (Art & Design and Art, Design
and Media)
- APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning)
Our entry requirements are normally given as UCAS tariff
points, which is the method that UCAS uses to convert your
qualifications into numerical format. Click here to
visit the UCAS website for a detailed explanation of tariff
points.
Although tariff points can be
accumulated in a variety of ways, not all of these will necessarily
be acceptable for entry to a particular course. The achievement of
a points score therefore does not give an automatic entitlement to
entry, and many other factors are taken into account in the
admissions process.
If you've been out of education for a long time, or if you have few
or no formal qualifications, you may still be eligible to apply to
us. You could consider putting together a 'portfolio of
achievement' containing open references, proof of attendance for
work-based courses and other information in support of your
application. This portfolio can then be brought to interview for
discussion.
You could also consider an
Access to HE course. Click here for
more information.
