Repaying Student Loans
You don’t have to start paying back Student Loans from the
government until you’ve left your course and are earning over
£15,000. You then pay back 9 per cent of your income over
£15,000 - so someone earning £18,000 would pay back £5.19 a
week.
The interest you pay is linked to inflation,
so in real terms what you repay is broadly the same as what you
borrowed. Visit http://www.slc.co.uk/ for more
information.
