Accommodation at High Melton, Doncaster

 

Accommodation is available in single study bedrooms in halls of residence.
 
The halls are self-catering with access to kitchens. 3 halls have shared bathrooms and one hall has en-suite showers.
 
The kitchens include electric hob, microwave, fridge freezer, electric kettle and toaster.
 
Rooms are furnished with a bed, desk, chair, wash basin, wardrobe and shelves.
 
What You Will Need to Bring
 
Food Preparation Items
 
Plate, Bowl, Knife, Fork, Spoon, Pots and Pans, Chopping Board, Food storage containers etc.
 
Bedding Items
 
Pillows, Pillow Cases, Duvet and Cover, Sheets and Towels. (The college can provide these for £5 per week if you wish).

Laundry Facilties
 
Laundry facilities are available in each hall - you will need to provide your washing powder and iron.  These can be purchased cheaply from various stores in Doncaster Town Centre. 
 
Meals
 
The halls of residence are self-catering and there is a student restaurant which provides meals. Breakfast is available from 8.00am (Monday to Friday) and lunch is 12.00 until 13.30. Meals are also available in the evening at the Stables Bar.
 
Cost
 
Accommodation from September 2013 will cost £75.00 per week for a basic single study room. Some rooms have en-suite showers but please be aware that en-suite rooms have limited availability.
 
Other Accommodation
 
Doncaster has one of the lowest costs of living in the country and rented accommodation nearby at very reasonable rates. Private accommodation is available in the town from around £60-£100 per week plus bills.
 
Facilties on campus include:
 
  • Student Social Area and Bar, including games machines, pool table, jukebox and televisions
  • Coffee Shop 
  • Restaurant
  • Learning Resource Centre (Library)
  • Church
 
The College operates a bus service into Doncaster town centre during the week in term time.
