When does the course take place?

This year's Summer School will run for 4 weeks between 25th June and 20th July. Study is flexible - you can study from 1 to 4 weeks of the course.

 

What does the course include?

The course includes classroom tuition, projects, activities and trips.

 

What are the entry requirements of the course?

You must be aged over 16 years of age (18 if you want to stay in college accommodation) and have some basic knowledge of English.

 

What sort of trips or activities will there be?

Every Friday there will be a full day excursions. There will be visits to places such as historic York, lively Manchester, the beautiful coastal towns of Whitby, and national parks such as the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales.

 

Is student accommodation available?

Yes - a single self catering study room with shared kitchen and bathroom facilities currently costs from £75.00 (including bedding) per week.

 

Can I get a qualification as part of the course?

You will receive a Doncaster College Certificate upon successful completion of the course.

 

Do I have to pay extra for an IELTS test?

Yes. if you wish to undertake an IELTS (International English Language Testing Scheme) test there will be an additional charge of £125.00 to cover this cost (payable direct to the IELTS testing centre). As these tests are very popular during the summer months, we would recommend that you book your test as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. The tests are held at IELTS test centres in York, Harrogate and Sheffield (subject to availability) For further information about booking a test, please contact the International Office.

 

How much does it cost?

The cost of the course is £275 per week for all tuition, accommodation and activities and trips. If you do not require accommodation then the cost will be £200 per week.
