"I first heard about Doncaster College at
British Council in New Delhi (India) and I was convinced that
Doncaster Business School is the best place to study for me because
I could get a University of Hull business degree, there
is a relatively low cost of living in Doncaster and
Doncaster is close to big cities like Leeds and Sheffield.
"When I arrived at Doncaster in 2003, I was
taken aback by the Business School’s serene location and I believe
it helped me remain focused on my studies. Doncaster gave me the
perfect opportunity to make the most of both worlds i.e. focusing
on studies and enjoying student life while keeping costs to a
minimum.
"In January this year I graduated with a 2:1
BA (Hons) Business & Marketing degree which has been possible
due to the support I received from the academic staff. After
graduating from the Business School I was faced with a dilemma I
knew was inevitable - that being: no experience/no job - no job/no
experience - and at the same time I was keen to get MBA
qualification as well. I believe I am very fortunate to have
studied at Doncaster Business School as I was given the opportunity
to get work experience and study simultaneously.
"I am currently studying for MBA and at the
same time working on strategic marketing for the Business School
which involves marketing research, data classification, analysis,
presentation and assisting with marketing communication activities.
This work experience opportunity has landed me a part time job as a
marketing research assistant for a dot-com company based in
Sheffield.
"My student life has been so great at
Doncaster College that I couldn’t have asked for more but the
transaction from student life to working life is the one that has
been most fulfilling."
