Doncaster Business School is working with Professor David Auckland, to create a new concept in the teaching and training of Innovators and Entrepreneurs.
Enterprise College is a place where people and organisations can bring their ideas and, within the framework of a training programme, convert them into reality.
Our vision is to become a centre of excellece in the region devoted to the creation of new products and services through innovation using the business start-up model. It will work with existing organisations to enhance innovation by embedding the start-up ethos in their management systems, practices and procedures.
Enterprise College is also a place where individuals with their own ideas and the desire to set up their own business can come and do so in an environment that one the one-hand is supportive and protective, but on the other hand exposes them and their idea to the market place. Enterprise College provides people with a 'glide-path' to self-employment and enterprise.
Doncaster Business School is a practical organisation whose outputs are wealth-creating operational systems and businesses.
Professor Auckland comments; "The Business School is unique in the United Kingdom. It addresses the very difficult problem of teaching and training people in the art and craft of enterprise and innovation. In setting up Enterprise College, Doncaster Business School has combined practice with theory in a training process that is idea-centred and aimed at delivering that idea into the market place or organisation as a profitable contribution."
