Food for Thought

This family module gives children the opportunity to work with their family members. Healthy eating, creating recipes old and new, and the safe use of various kitchen utensils and equipment are a fun practical way to enjoy a range of cooking techniques.

The recipes will include food and spices from all over the world as well as using local and seasonal produce. The module will run in school to enable families and children to develop this into a sustainable school club.

There is support and help from local Children’s Centres and community based food educators. Our pilot module is being developed at Lakeside Pimary School.

What the children think

“I learnt to chop by claw and bridge” “I would come back tomorrow!”
