Here's what you're saying about Doncaster Children's
"I was nervous but the teachers have been so friendly and have
given us all a chance to speak up. It made me feel special."
Head Teacher Statement"We had an excellent
response from years 5&6 children: they have been so
enthusiastic they can't wait untill the end of school to go!"
"Children's University™ has given the children a chance to
broaden their experiences and life skills."
"The pilot was excellent with good leaders who had a clear vision.
The children were treated with consideration and were offered the
chance to share the buzz of learning. There were so many positive
aspects to the pilot and I felt it was a great privileged to be a
mentor on it. I look forward to further involvement". - Don Bullock
(Ex-Doncaster Primary Head Teacher for 20yrs)
Town Field Primary School
"Town Field Primary School was inspected in September 2009 under
the new Inspection Framework for Schools. The Ofsted team were very
interested to hear about our children’s engagement with Children’s
University and were impressed with how this extra-curricular study
provision had enhanced learning.
We were able to demonstrate how this enriched our curriculum and
how it improved pupils’ attititudes to learning and raised their
aspirations. It was considered to be an example of excellent
practice and accepted as evidence under the category ‘The
effectiveness of partnerships in promoting learning and
well-being’, which was graded as outstanding.
We were delighted that Ofsted recognised the
contribution that Children’s University makes and hope to continue
strengthening our partnership even more!" - Helen Bellinger

"A group of 8- to 11-year-olds has arrived at Doncaster College.
As they enter, they look up and around at the huge, sleek entrance
hall, the big escalator, the sculptures. It's their first day on a
Children's University™ (CU) after-school module."
