How to move a file, link or folder

To move file, link or folder into another location, first go to the appropriate course. Then:

 

  1. Location menu barGo to the the place where the file, link or folder is located, i.e. in Course Documents.



  2. Select the "Edit View" option from the top-right of the page which loads up.
    Select 'Edit View'

  3. Find the file, link or folder which you wish to move. Click the "Copy" button next to it.

  4. Copy or Move Item

    In section 2, select the Destination Course. You must be listed as a tutor on a course to be able to copy an item into it.

  5. Click the "Browse" button for the Destination Folder item.

  6. In the window which appears, navigate to and click on the location where you wish to copy the item to.

  7. If you wish to simply move the file completely instead of copying it, then change the "Remove item after copy" option to "Yes", otherwise leave as it is.

  8. Click "Submit" then "OK". The item has now been copied.
