Google Docs
Google Docs is a free online productivity
suite provided by Google. You can create documents,
spreadsheets, presentations, drawings and forms all within your web
browser. You can access your Documents from any computer or smart
mobile device with a web browser* and Internet connection,
upload files from your desktop (i.e. Word documents,
spreadsheets and images) and share documents to allow real
time collaboration with colleagues.

Getting Started with Google Docs
You can test out some of the main features of Google Docs
without signing up first:

Step 1
Visit www.docs.google.com in your web
browser*. Once you have loaded the page click on the
Try Google Docs Now button.
*To get the most from Google Docs a modern web browser is
required such as
Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox or
Google
Chrome.

Step 2
You can now start exploring some of the main tools Google Docs
has to offer, this includes Documents,
Spreadsheets and
Drawings.
Notice the See collaboration in action
box appear when in either the Documents or Spreadsheets demo.
This allows you to have a go at the real-time collaboration
features in Google Docs.

Step 3
Simply copy the link in the box - this link is unique and will
expire after a certain period of time. The link is intended to be
disposable for the purpose of demonstration.

Step 4
Email the link to friends or colleagues to invite them to view
and edit the same demo document/spreadsheet as you. once your
freind or colleague receives the email they simply click ont he
link and it will take them to the demo page you are viewing.
You can now both try collaborative working.
