Downloading & Installing Smartboard Software

In order to download and install the Smartboard software on your own machine, you must first get a valid code, then download the software itself.

 

Getting a code

First of all, you need to get a valid product code. To do this:

 

  1. First, get the serial number from any Smartboard installed at the College. To find this, you need to look underneath the Smartboard itself, as pointed out in this photo:

  2. Now, go to this page: http://smarttech.com/nb10productkey/

  3. Enter the serial number in the box on the web page, and choose "Education" from the drop-down menu.

  4. Click "Continue"

  5. On the next page you will need to fill in your name, address and details about your job.

    Make sure you fill in your email address correctly, as a product key will be sent to this address. You will need this later on!
  6. Once you have filled in the information, click the "Continue" button.

  7. At the next step, select the "SMART Board interactive whiteboard" option.

  8. Choose whether you wish to receive email news or not, then press the "Continue" button.

  9. Now, you will receive an email containing both the product key and a link to download the software.

 

 


 

Getting the software

To download an install the software:

 

  1. Check your emails, you should have received one from SMART Tech.

  2. In the email there will be a link to download/upgrade the software. Click on this.

  3. There are versions for both Windows and Mac operating systems. As the method may change, please follow the instructions on the page.

  4. During the installation of the software, you will need to enter the Product Key. Copy this from the email that you received.
