Forest School
Forest School “Woodland Learning Zone” works in partnership with
schools to offer unique learning experiences in the forest at our
campus at High Melton, Doncaster University Centre.
We provide activities and design topics that link to objectives
across the National Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation
Stage. We work with children up to KS4 and older children with
special Educational Needs.
NEW
- February Half-Term activities (18 to 21
February)
Our Forest School Practitioner and the team can deliver any of
the examples below and are able to develop new ideas and
challenging tasks for children with teachers that will give
children an experience of learning in the forest. At Forest School
children encounter high quality teaching that engages and motivates
children to learn. Teachers go away from Forest School with lots of
ideas for activities to further extend children’s knowledge, skills
and understanding of the world around them.
Here are a few examples of activities we have delivered in the
forest to schools in the past. All sessions start with a health and
safety talk and an ice breaker game. This encourages listening,
coordination, communication and team building skills.
