After School and Holiday Clubs for Children aged 8-12
After School Clubs
In September 2012 we will be offering parents an opportunity to
book children into our after school clubs. The clubs will run in
the autumn, spring and summer terms and will deliver Forest School
activities building skills, knowledge and understanding each week
of a variety of outdoor activities. Children will leave with a
certificate of attendance, children’s University credits but most
of all new friends and a sense of achievement. The clubs will start
at 4:30pm and finish at 6:00pm.
Rates: £30 for 6 weeks
Holiday Clubs
Starting In July 2012, Forest School opened the woodland up to
parents to book children on to our Holiday Clubs, again the
children will be able to experience challenging Forest School
activities in a learning environment that is fun, safe and has
excellent adult to child ratios . The club will run during the
first two weeks of the summer holidays, each day will offer
different activities starting at 9:00am and finishing at
4:00pm.
Rates: £15 per day
Children will be expected to bring a packed lunch, and drinks
will be provided throughout the day. The children will be outside
all day so appropriate clothing is essential; we recommend lots of
layers, waterproof coat and boots/trainers (non-fashion items).
Volunteer opportunities for older children
We can offer volunteer opportunities for older children from the
age of 15 years, children who are interested in volunteering to be
a forest ranger and help out with the children’s activities must
complete an application form and attend an interview.
