About the Governing Body

The Corporation Board is the Governing Body of the College, comprised of people from a range backgrounds reflecting the community the College serves, and includes staff and learners.

The current members of the Governing Body are listed in the Register of Governor Membership, with further details in the Who are the Governors? section. An introduction to and overview of the role of College Governor can be found in our copy of 'Being a Governor of Doncaster College'.

The Corporation Board is responsible for the overall functioning of the College. In general terms, it is responsible for the quality of service that the College offers to learners and the local community, as well as the College’s financial health and its strategic direction.

Meetings of the Corporation are held in private and attended by the members of the Corporation and members of the senior management team, together with any other persons specifically invited to attend.

The workings of the Corporation are laid down in the College’s Instrument and Articles of Government, a copy of which can be downloaded and viewed here using Adobe Acrobat Reader.

These pages provide an open access point to the workings of the Corporation and include minutes of meetings as well as a range of other information about the College.
