Learning Resource Centre staff are always available to help you locate appropriate information for your studies.  Orientation and information skills workshops can be booked via your course tutor.

Learn how to research effectively

  • 7 Steps to Searching – find the right information by using this worksheet to help you to develop your search strategy.
  • Intute Virtual Training Suite  - Free online tutorials to help you use the internet more effectively.
  • Harvard Referencing – keep track of your research and get started with Harvard Referencing.
  • Turnitin - some tutors allow students to check their citing and referencing against a plagiarism detection  database.  You will need a class login - consult your tutor.
  • Indivdual assistance is available to all students.  Please ask at the LRCs for assistance and details.
