The Big Draw artwork collection
27th October 2009
We have been displaying all your amazing artwork created
during our Big Draw event. At the end of October we will be taking
all displays and artwork down. The work will be stored in the LRC's
archive room. If you wish to pick your work up to display yourself
and show your friends and family, please see a member of LRC staff.
Work will only be stored until the 6th November.
Further work on the LRC entrance at High Melton - Tues
27th October and week beginning Monday 9th
November
The internal doors to the LRC at High Melton are
now automatic. Work will be carried out to make the
external doors automatic on Tuesday 27th October and then again the
week beginning the 9th November. During the installation
access to the LRC will be through the classroom side
entrance. Please follow the signs to
the right. Separate arrangements are
available for students unable to manage the stairs - please
contact us.
The Big Draw!
20th October

The Big Draw is now at an end! We would like
to thank everyone who took part in the activities and give a big
thanks to those who helped organise and run the event.
We hope you all had fun drawing and meeting
your fellow students. Your amazing artwork will be on display in
the LRC until the end of October. Due to space restrictions not all
large pieces of work could be displayed, let us know if you want to
collect any work as it can only be stored for so long.

Access to the LRC (High Melton) - Wed 21st &
Thurs 22nd
October
The internal part of LRCs' main doors are being replaced
this week between Wed 21st & Thursday
22nd October. During the installation access to

Black History Month
October 2009
Black History Month is being celebrated throughout the UK during
October.

Access to University Centre LRC
21st & 22nd October and
9th November
Improvements to access through the main doors at the University
Centre LRC at High Melton will take place soon.
The main entrance doors will be unavailable on Wednesday October
21st and Thursday 22nd October.
Further work will take place on Monday 9th November.
For these three days, access to the LRC will be
available by using the side entrance. Follow the path to the
right of the main door.
We apologise for any
inconvenience.
Countdown to the BIG Draw
5th - 16th October 2009

Big Draw events will be taking place all over the country
celebrating
the BD's 10th year!
Come and join in the fun at the Hub LRC creating drawings and
doodles
on the themes of Landscapes, Portraits, Nature and Colour. We'll
have huge
rolls of paper, postcard design, 'alternative' ID cards and a
selection of drawing tools including coloured pens and pencils,
crayons and charcoal.
Contributions will be on display throughout October when we will
also be celebrating Family Learning Festival and National Customer
Service Week.
We're looking forward to seeing as many contributions as
possible so visit as a class, with college friends or on
your own.
We also have a Big Draw website set
up here which will include a gallery of images from the events.
Celebration Time

5-11th October 2009
Doncaster College Learning Resource Centres are registered
participants in National Customer Service Week.
We're celebrating LRC staff having achieved NVQ level 2 in
Customer Service.
During the week we will be displaying some of the feedback and
comments we have gathered about our service to you.
Your comments are always appreciated and inform the service we
provide.
