Reserving material that is already on
loan.
If the item you want is already on loan you
can reserve that item. This process is called placing a hold.
You can place a hold from the web catalogue. Learn how to do
this.
Borrowing from other
sites
All students can borrow books from The
Hub and the University Centre LRCs. Additionally we offer a
delivery service between these sites which is called an
Inter-Site Loan Service. To take part, check that the book
you want is in stock using the web
catalogue and then fill out an Inter-site loan
card. Ask at the Reception for
assistance.
What can I do if the book/journal
article are not available in the LRCs?
If you cannot find the book or journal article
you need in the Learning Resource Centres we can
request it from the British Library for you. This is a
routine procedure that is called an Inter-Library Loan. Just
complete a request form (below) and return it to your Learning
Resource Centre. Please note that there is a
non-refundable £2.50 charge for each item
requested. To find out more simply click here.

Visiting other libraries
You may want to consider visiting other
libraries. Generally most libraries are happy
to allow reference use but it is advisable to check in
advance. Please take your Doncaster College card with you as
proof of ID.
