| Hub to be Home of Region's Newest Coffee
Bar
Doncaster College's new Waterfront development will be the
home of the town's newest coffee bar the Campus Coffee
Company.
The College's favourite on-site coffee service Caffeine Rush,
run by Linda McGough at Waterdale, is to be re-born as the Campus
Coffee Company in August.
Linda has been treating staff, students and passers-by to a
well-earned cup of coffee for the last four years under the
Caffeine Rush franchise.
But now, as the College prepares for new beginnings in a
multi-million pound purpose-built building, Linda has decided to
make the change, too.
Campus Coffee Company will be her own business and will be
situated inside the new Hub development, near the escalators
Doncaster College is the only College in the country to have
escalators.
Linda, 38, said: "I am so glad the College have given the
go-ahead for me to open up in the Hub. I have got to know a lot of
people at the College over the years and have a lot of loyal
customers.
"I am really looking forward to it. We are changing as a
company so we are creating our own image with branded cups and a
purpose built bar area but we will continue to serve the same award
winning coffee.
"Before, I would have to look anxiously at the weather
forecast every day to see if I could work because I was based
outside, but that is obviously not the case indoors. Staff and
students will be able to enjoy my coffee all year round."
The new coffee bar is being designed and manufactured by CK
Design and Shop fitting Ltd of Bentley. She is also helped out at
other sites around town by partner Gary Donald and friend Donna
Grady.
