He’s a Good...Man!
Paul Goodman
Graphic Designer Paul Goodman has seen
life from both sides of the lecture theatre at Doncaster
College.
He began as a 16-year-old design student in
September 2004 and this summer completed his PGCE teaching
qualification.
As part of his teaching course Paul helped the
National Diploma Graphic Design students to achieve the best ever
success in the history of the course.
David Bower, the course leader explained, "Our
second year students were excellent this year. Sixteen learners
gained high grades and nine of these gained three distinctions, the
highest mark possible. All 24 of the students passed and
their performance was more than 10% better than the National
Average. Paul's contribution was really valuable in showing
them what they could achieve."
After his own National Diploma in Art &
Design, Paul completed a Degree in Graphic Design at University
Centre Doncaster, and during this time he was ranked as one of the
top ten young graphic designers by WorldskillsUK.
He then went on to complete his teaching course.
Paul said, "the opportunity to share the
breadth of knowledge I gained from my lecturers at Doncaster made
me want to help others learn as well."
He has his own website showcasing his work and will shortly
begin a Masters Degree, but further down the line Paul intends to
take up teaching on a full time basis.
