Students Raise Cash for Pudsey
Hospitality and Catering students with one of their creations
made for Children in Need
College students and staff raised
hundreds of pounds for charity as the Children in Need frenzy hit
Doncaster College.
Hospitality and Catering students have been
working hard to raise cash. They spent over two weeks preparing
tasty goodies and then had a mad dash around College selling their
wares on the day.
Catering staff Charlie Ratcliffe and Lisa
Pyott passed on their knowledge and expertise and helped students
Joanne Fuller and Brandon Wilson produce a fantastic Pudsey Bear
cake. This was raffled off along with Cinderella’s white chocolate
shoes made by Charlene Singh, overall the raffle made £100.
A College spokesman said: "It's great to see
students getting involved in fundraising events like this. They
have put a lot of effort into their activities and it all pays off
when they see the amount of money raised."
Other departments including Floristry, Hair and Beauty and
Health and Social Care, contributed to the fundraising efforts. The
pot is expected to rise as more money is expected to roll in from
across the College's sites.
Doncaster College runs a host of catering
courses from its Hub and High Melton sites. Further details
