Thirty-three Doncaster College Level 3 Dance and Drama students have performed this years Pantomime in the Harvey Theatre at the High Melton campus.

‘A Christmas Tale’, written and directed by tutors Sharon Callow and Rachel Rollin, is a musical tale about toys that find their existence threatened at Christmas.

The plot centres on some of the toys anxiety at being thrown out to make way for new ones? The good toys and the bad toys then go to war against each other. Who wins? Who do you think? Well, it is Christmas after all.

Approximately 500 school children from the Doncaster area attended performances and they heard songs including 'I Think I Want To Marry You', 'Stupid Girls', and 'Santa Clause is Coming to Town'.

Level 3 Hair and Beauty students from The Hub helped the performers with make-up and hair.

Doncaster College runs a host of performing arts-based courses from its Hub and High Melton sites. Further details can be obtained by calling 0800 358 7575 or visiting www.don.ac.uk.
