Dons Try-ed and Tested by College Students
Championship One side Doncaster RLFC pre-season has been boosted by students from the Doncaster College Rugby Academy.
The lads were put through a series of fitness tests by the three of the College’s Academy students at their training base in Lindholme.
The tests included various aspects of fitness, including body fat percentage, leg power, grip strength, agility, acceleration, muscular endurance and aerobic fitness, using the College’s state-of-the-art testing equipment.
Don’s Head Coach Tony Miller said “The players have received the results and we will now devise their individual programmes from those results.”
Pete Holmes, Lecturer in Sports and Exercise Science at the College stated “It’s fantastic for the lads to work behind the scenes at a professional sports club and to have an influence on how the club performs in the coming season.”
Doncaster College runs a host of Sports courses at its Hub campus. Further details are available by calling 0800 358 7575 or visiting http://www.don.ac.uk/
