Volunteers' Success

Executive at Doncaster College.
Fifteen full-time volunteers, from the vTalent
programme, working in a range of placements across Doncaster
College, recently graduated at a ceremony in the Waterfront
Restaurant at The Hub.
In front of family, friends and colleagues, George Trow,
Principal and Chief Executive at the College, handed out
certificates. A buffet, prepared and served by Hospitality and
Catering students, was provided for guests once the ceremony had
taken place.
In addition to these certificates, volunteers have gone on to
achieve a number of qualifications including PGCE, Counselling,
Level 2 Volunteering and Football Coaching, as well as going onto
degree programmes and employment.
Due to the success of the vTalent programme, which was
externally funded, the College has embedded a volunteering
programme into the mainstream provision at the College.
