Rosie Visits College
Rosie Winterton MP (middle row, centre) recently spoke to
students at Doncaster College.
The MP for Doncaster Central, Rosie Winterton, visited
Doncaster College recently to talk to students.
Rosie spoke to students on the BTEC level 3 Subsidiary Diploma
in Uniformed Public Services, which is designed to give students an
understanding of areas such as the police, fire, prison and
security services and students from the BTEC Level 3 Extended
Diploma in Sports Exercise and Science.
The MP of 15 years spoke about her experience of Government,
currently she is in opposition and is chief whip for the Labour
party, and then answered questions from inquisitive students on
topics including how parliament works, the coalition government,
the august riots and is Ed Miliband, leader of the Labour party and
MP for Doncaster North, a good leader? The last subject provoking
an interesting and lengthy debate.
This is the third year running that Rosie has addressed students
and feedback has been enormously positive and extremely beneficial
to students study.
