Managers Become Dragons...Just for an Evening
Danuta Wisniewski, the College's Deputy Head of Technology, has
proposed a car valeting service at the College
Senior College managers have taken
part in an innovative Dragon’s Den-style event in a bid to make the
College a more exciting learning environment.
In an increasingly competitive environment,
the College held the internal Enterprise Stars event to give staff
an opportunity to present their ideas to senior management.
Staff from various departments within the
College pitched their business ideas relating to their area to
managers at The Stables, High Melton, on Thursday, June 19.

Principal Rowland Foote,
Vice Principal (Business and Enterprise)
Jacqueline Hall, Deputy Head of Finance Lee Mason, Executive
Director of Resources Catherine Parkinson and Governor
representatives of the business sector, Karen Finlayson and Ian
Straw listened to ideas pitched from Arts, Business and Consumer
Services, Foundation Studies, Technology and Doncaster Business
School departments.
Ideas ranged from introducing a Creative
Agency to opening a Car Valeting service run by students.
Rowland said: “Colleges have to be run like
businesses with students being its customers. We are always looking
for new ideas to make the College a better learning environment for
our students and events like these can only help the
situation.”
