Media Production students from Doncaster College are
helping the fire service deliver a message that ‘Hoax Calls
Kill’.
Adam Beighton, Charlotte Chan, Daniel Marriot and John Hanley
have been working with South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue as part of
their National Diploma Media course at The Hub.
It is hoped that the short film, which used a professional
actress and filmed on location in Sheffield and Doncaster, will be
played to thousands of schoolchildren across the region in a bid to
curb the number of prank calls to the Fire Service.
Student Adam Beighton said: “This film taught us a lot about
working independently and from the start we were encouraged to
manage the project ourselves. Hopefully this film’s message will
make a difference.”
