Student Featured in National Design Magazine
Paul Goodman's artwork and bio in Advanced Photoshop magazine

Doncaster degree student Paul Goodman has seen his designs featured in a national design magazine.

Paul, who is studying on Doncaster College’s BA (Hons) Visual Communication (re-badged as BA (Hons) Graphic Design from September 2008) degree programme at High Melton, had three of his images published in the June issue of Advanced Photoshop magazine.

And after positive feedback from the editors, more of his images are set to appear in later editions of the magazine.

The 20-year-old from Scawsby said: “It is only just sinking in now that I have seen my artwork in print. It seems very surreal as things like this don’t normally happen to me. I felt the same way when I started seeing my Fashion Show posters and my T-shirt designs on the plasma screens at The Hub.

“It is a big honour to have my work published and I aim to keep improving and pushing myself to the limit. It is amazing to think that my work is good enough to be published alongside people who have worked in the design industry for years. My tutor has helped loads and taught me new skills, how to appreciate typography and use it to its fullest.”

Tutor Simon Gomes said: “In an area of design that is so highly competitive it’s great that students from our degree programmes being promoted in a national publication. This illustrates how effectively the University Centre at Doncaster is holding its own against the larger regional and national institutions.”
