Apprentice Runner Up Kristina Grimes visits Doncaster
|
Kristina Grimes, runner-up of the
third series of The Apprentice, has visited Doncaster College to
look at its innovative Enterprise College project.
The College, with Enterprise Ambassadors in
each Academy and Department area, is developing a unique business
and enterprise programme for young people that engage the basic
skills required to start and develop a business, teaching
transferrable and personal development skills.
Kristina visited the College’s Hub and High
Melton campuses in April and is now helping with ideas that will
bring enterprise and business to the forefront of students’
learning experiences.
As well as meeting with the Enterprise College
management team, Kristina also visited most vocational study areas
across the College and was impressed by the work currently being
undertaken.
Enterprise College Project Manager Jayne
Robinson said: “Kristina, the team and I are looking to develop a
programme that engages everyone in the philosophy of business,
focusing on developing their motivation, inspiration, courage,
enterprise and resource awareness.
“This will furnish the learner with real
business ideas, abilities and opportunities to take into their
future life.”
Kristina plans to revisit the College in the
coming weeks.
