A group of Graduants celebrate outside Doncaster Minster.

Nearly three hundred students have graduated from University Centre Doncaster over ceremonies on Tuesday and Wednesday – and a hundred more will follow on Thursday.

The three-day event started on Tuesday, November 22, and will run until Thursday, November 24 with ceremonies taking place at Doncaster Minster after a procession from Doncaster College's Hub campus.

 

The ceremonies have so far celebrated students from the School of Humanities, Education, Sport and Social Sciences; Relate Institute; the School of Arts; and the Academy of Wellbeing.

 

Sir Paul Edwards, Chief Exexcutive and Director of School Partnership Trust Academies, was the guest speaker at the Tuesday ceremony, giving his insight into education and his hope for the future to the hundreds of Graduates and guests.

 

Speaking to the congregation on Wednesday, Karl Matthews, founder of Karl Matthews Bespoke, Saville Row tailors shared his story on how he has progressed from once being a student at Doncaster College.

 

Sean Kelly, who received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Applied Social Science on Tuesday, also received The Marie Morton-Cowell Award for Outstanding Dedication of Purpose.

 

Thursday's Ceremony will celebrate students from the Academy of Commercial Enterprise, the Academy of Advanced Technology and the School of Business and Management.
