A new websites for a new campus
|
The new, improved Doncaster College website is up and
running after months of hard work. We have revamped the whole site,
making it much more navigable and packed it with loads of new
features.
Some of the new features include
multi-language support, an enhanced College news section with media
centre for journalists, an enhanced search system, mini sites for
various schools within the College and no annoying drop-down
menus.
Web monkey Tom said: “It is so much better for
staff, students and employers now. They can see more about the
College, what we offer and how to find out more.

“The old website was very out-of-date and was in need of
a transformation. Hopefully, everyone will like it and find what
they are looking for."

“We even have a virtual tour on there as well as games and quizzes
to entertain students. Everything you need to know about the
College is now on our website – and it looks good too.”
Most news stories will also carry feedback
forms to give the site an interactive feel with replies being
posted below the news item. People will also be able to get
involved in the staff/student view section.
People will also be able to order a prospectus
online for the first time. There’s also specific Governor and
Student Union pages.
Tom added: “The old website was very
out-of-date and was in need of a transformation. Hopefully,
everyone will like it and find what they are looking for.
“I would like to thank everyone who has
contributed new copy for the new site and generally help me –
especially Mark Cawkwell in CITS.”
