The World's Biggest Coffee Morning
Staff and students at the Waterfront Restaurant
Students and staff from the College joined many
thousands of people across the UK last Friday, taking part in
Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest national fundraising event, The
World's Biggest Coffee Morning.
Students from the College's Waterfront Restaurant made and
served cakes, tea, and coffee and raised a grand total of £162.10
towards a national total that Macmillan Cancer Support are
confident will be over £8million pounds.
This event also served as a curtain raiser to the Waterfront
Restaurant opening for coffee and cakes every morning, starting
September 27th at 10am. A selection of cakes and hot drinks
including hot chocolate, lattes, and cappuccinos, will be available
Tuesdays to Fridays for just £2.00 per person.
Staff, students and the general public are welcome to sit in the
lounge area of the restaurant to enjoy their coffee and cakes.
The Restaurant opens for lunch on Tuesday 5th October when
customers can claim a free 'dessert of the day' at the time of
purchasing a main course.
The first 5 course fine dining event will take place on Thursday
7th October. Advance booking is advised for this and other evening
events.
